Bantara Camp

On Saturday April 30th until Sunday May 1st, Dewan Ambalan Soekarno-Fatmawati together with Satgas 1011 organized a camp which followed by fifty-eight candidates of Bantara (the second level of Penegak hierarchy in Pramuka). The camp was started from three pm until ten am. There were many activities in the event. The camp also held without any problem happened. In the end, all the candidates became Bantara and returned back to home at ease.

The first agenda was opening ceremony. The candidates wore their Pramuka suit. In the middle of the ceremony, Mr. Darta, our beloved principal, gave his motivating speech and opened the Bantara camp legally. After the opening ceremony finished, the candidates were having dinner together in the basketball court. Then, the groups of candidates (there are 6 group totally, 3 group of boy, and 3 group of girl) made their own performance for the Spontanitas which held in the Lapangan Coklat at 7 pm. Before the candidates showed their performance, there was a ceremony that must be held, it was Api Unggun. The woods that were brought by the candidates were set in the middle of the field (Lapangan Coklat) and all the candidates circled it. In the ceremony, the woods were burned with Api Suci (Holy Fire). There were three shooter which shot their fire arrows (the fire was from Api Suci) into the pile of the woods. Mr. Suartha also gave his speech as the part of the ceremony. Afterwards, all the groups showed their best performance in the middle of the field near the Api Unggun. Some groups tried to make the audiences laugh by joking around, some groups sang many kind of song with a little improvement, and there were also some group which played humorous drama. The event was entertaining enough, although the candidates looked tired and sleepy. Then, at approximately 10 pm, the candidates were allowed to sleep before doing the next agenda for the next day while some candidates were doing TKK test on that evening.
On the next day, at 1 am, the candidates were waked up. They prepared to do Jurit Malam and the searching of TKU (Bet Bantara). Before doing the activities, the candidates prayed in the school’s temple to wish safety from Sang Hyang Widhi. Afterwards, on the Jurit Malam, the candidates were taken to stay in different spot in school with their eyes closed using Senteng. The activities were very frightening for some candidates which easy to scare. The tensest activity was the searching of the TKU, many candidates did not find their TKU. Fortunately, all the candidates could pass the obstacle and ready to be a Bantara. On the closing ceremony, all the candidates became Bantaras and the camp was closed by Mr. Bajrayasa at 10 am. All the candidates returned back to home safely and happily. Congrats for the new Bantaras!
